The sun actually shone today, so I took the opportunity to take a few pictures when we went out to the open market. This enormous combination of flea market and farmers’ market takes place every Saturday and Sunday in Rotterdam. Ria was in search of herring; I found some smoked mackerel, which I used to eat when I lived in England. It was both too cold and too overwhelming to explore in detail–and of course we’re going to have enough things to take home with us as it is.
