After a day of too much PHP (and too little success with it), I definitely needed a walk, so I headed down Bridgehead Rd to the Antioch/Oakley Regional Shoreline, where I hadn’t been for a while.
It was just getting to be the time that fish start biting–not the best light for taking pictures, though I did capture one old man in the act of pulling a striper out of the water. (It was too small to keep, and in any case, as you can see from the warning sign, it’s not safe to eat too many of those.) It was very windy on the pier, which made it hard to hold the camera steady, or even to stand up, sometimes.
With the Antioch Bridge (used as the default panorama photo representing Oakley) so close, the Antioch/Oakley Regional Shoreline doesn’t have the isolated feel of Big Break Regional Shoreline, but once you’re out on the pier, all you can hear is the wind.
