After Isleton we drove on to Walnut Grove, where we had lunch. According to the area website, the town of Walnut Grove was founded by someone from Ohio. (Yes, even back then, people couldn’t wait to get out of Ohio. What can I say? It’s cold there.)
Though about twice as populous as Isleton and with more businesses that appeared to be in business, the town didn’t offer many choices of lunch venue. Apparently the so-called bistro where we ate did have free Wi-Fi, however. Alas, I was not packing anything that could take advantage of it.
Looks very un-Ohio ish.
